Industrial Company Head of Human Resources
Dan Kepler serves a broad client base in industrial and clean technology. Prior to joining Cavoure Dan was a partner in the Chicago office of Heidrick & Struggles. Before that, Dan spent 10 years with Russell Reynolds Associates, where he ran that firm’s North America Automotive Practice.
Dan has recruited chief executive officers and senior corporate officers for both private and publicly-traded companies. In addition, he has a track record of success recruiting leaders for private equity and venture capital backed companies with an industrial focus. Dan's projects span a wide array of functions, including general management, finance, supply chain and human resources. His most recent work has also focused on functional areas such as new product development, engineering, operations and quality.
Highlights of Dan's work include: chief executive officer for an $8 billion, global tier-one automotive supplier; chief operating officer for a $6 billion, tier-one automotive supplier; chief financial officer and general counsel for a $15 billion, pre-IPO, wholly-owned subsidiary of a $200 billion global energy company; vice president of supply chain for a $15 billion division of a $20 billion, NYSE-traded industrial manufacturer; several chief executive officers and chief financial officers for private equity portfolio companies; chief information officer for a $7 billion paper manufacturer, as well as a chief information officer for a $13 billion global tier-one supplier and several vice presidents of engineering and quality. Over the past few years, Dan has recruited several chief executive officers and technology leaders for prominent clean tech portfolio companies.
Prior to his career in executive search, Dan held positions with AT&T and MCI Telecommunications. Earlier, he served as an options trader on The Chicago Board Options Exchange and The Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Dan received his B.A. in Economics Management from Ohio Wesleyan University and his M.B.A. from DePaul University. Chicago-based, Dan lives in Deerfield, Illinois, with his wife, Debbie, and their three children.
