Greg Carrott Carrott focuses on search assignments for chief executives of companies where the search can create significant value.

For industrial clients, for example, his CEO searches include Brady Corporation, Federal Signal, Snap-on and Ontario Hydro; his work in the consumer goods industry includes finding the chief executive officers of Cott Bottling, Molson and Nash-Finch. All the CEOs Greg has helped recruit have remained in place for at least six years before retiring and have produced an average compound annual return to shareholders approaching 20 percent during their tenures.

He has also recruited members to the boards of directors of Nash-Finch, Pioneer Hi-Bred, Snap-on and United Airlines, among others.

Before the founding of Cavoure, Greg served for almost seven years at Heidrick & Struggles and 13 years at Egon Zehnder International, focusing on general management and board of director searches. He oversaw Zehnder's worldwide relationship with Chrysler and co-led the merger integration of LucasVarity.

Greg came to search with significant management experience. He was a staff officer of Borg-Warner Corporation, a vice president and management supervisor for a division of Young & Rubicam, and earlier in his career, reported to the chairman of Northwest Industries. He began with the Continental Bank in Chicago.

Greg received a BA from Lawrence University, an MSJ from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago. Carrott has co-authored two articles for the Harvard Business Review—"Culture Matters Most" (May 2005) and "Shareholder Value Must Top the CEOs Agenda" (January 2009)—and has published articles in The Corporate Board and Directors & Boards.

He serves on an advisory board of L.E.K. Consulting LLC, the fifth largest strategic consulting firm in the world with revenues of $300 million and 19 offices worldwide.
